Louisiana’s Phase One Reopening: Four things to do in order to remain safe and healthy as our community reopens
Dr. Susan Hassig, associate professor of epidemiology at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, recommends keeping four things in mind when you consider going out:
- Distance – social distancing from anyone who hasn’t been in your lockdown environment remains important as more people venture out of their homes.
- Density – follow the state’s occupancy guidelines when entering a business. Crammed spaces should be avoided.
- Disinfecting – washing your hands and cleaning surfaces are good habits to maintain your health
- Barriers – physical barriers, like masks and plexiglass screens, keep you safe when you must to be in close proximity to others.
